Kendra Ward once again took home top honors in the dulcimer competition held on August 7, 2024 at the prestigious Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax, VA. This marks the third year in a row that she has finished first in the contest!
In addition, Kendra won the "Best All-Around Performer" award, given to the contestant who receives the highest score from all of the instrumental contest categories! This marks the first time in the 88-year history of the Old Fiddlers Convention that a dulcimer player has won this top prize! Watch Kendra's winning performance here.

Gongratulations to all these wonderful players!
The Old Fiddlers Convention is the oldest and largest event of its kind, with a history that goes all the back to 1935. Ruth Melton won the dulcimer competition at the inagural event.
